The back to school season certainly deserves its name of the ‘Back to School Rush’ from new school uniforms to stationery essentials, new school books, and PE kits, it’s a busy time of year for parents and we’re here to try and make it as easy as possible for you!
There will always be those who leave everything to the weekend before school starts, desperately grabbing whatever is left on the shelves, but this year will be different, it’s time to turn over a new leaf and get prepared in advance. No drama needed! If your little one is starting school for the first time or if your kids are returning to another year at school, we have you covered.
Uniform: For many schools, uniform will need to be purchased directly from school or through a school wear shop. Try and get this done well in advance to ensure the uniform will arrive ahead the first day, just in case they don’t have your child’s size. Buying shoe schools can be a struggle, make sure you buy them shoes which both last a long time and are comfortable, to ensure that three weeks down the line you aren’t having to find a new pair.
PE Kits: Most schools will sell a PE t-shirt or polo top, and shorts can be purchased from most sportswear shops. Just keep an eye on school guidelines of their rules for trainers!
Backpack: The one essential for carrying everything your child needs for their school day, from PE Kits to school books. Make sure you check the dimensions of the bag to ensure it fits everything your child takes to school.
Lunch Bag: You need a lunch bag that keeps your little ones lunch cool whilst having enough room for all those healthy treats. It is a good idea that the lunch bag is waterproof, in case of any spillages.
Water Bottle: Keep your child hydrated throughout the school day, most schools will allow bottles of water into the classroom.
Stationery can be a tricky one. We don’t want to pay a fortune for items which will probably get lost and used up before the first term over. Across plenty of retailers there are lots of funky, and cool well priced stationery that your little ones will love.
Pencil case: Great to hold pencils, rulers, erasers. Keeping them from being lost in the bottom of the school bag.
Pens/Pencils: Make sure they have a few of each.
Folder: Helps to keep your child’s work organised
